We had a busy but fun weekend...Carsten had a couple friends sleepover so they could all help with the school's Fall Fair games rooms on Saturday. This year I worked in the market and enjoyed it too, different as it was from the games room.
I love some of the stuff I got at the vendor's tables...Thank you Mark for hanging up the faith, hope and love words up right away!!
I think Logan liked Savannah's prize from the Fall Fair...
who wouldn't like a giant pink unicorn??
Alex was working at the BFM and Carsten joined him there after the Fall Fair to play some Christmas music for their Christmas Open House.
I think I know why Savannah likes sleeping over at Kim's house...pancakes and bacon for breakfast :) It's even more fun when you can hitch up your unicorn to pull Logan in his special tomato.
Mark had a business trip this week to Utrecht but not before he made homemade ice cream to go with our tarts we bought at the Fall Fair...yum
I have been studying the DVD/Book Lord, I Want to Know You by Kay Arthur with some ladies from our church. What a comfort we have in the gem we found...
"Although we have been given a free will, still God so rules and overrules that no person, angel, demon, or devil, nor any circumstance of life, can thwart His plan."
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” - Romans 8:28Isn't that a comfort? While we may not understand the reasons why things happen, we can take comfort that God is in control.
It was even more comforting as we looked to the United States and the candidates running for president.
It has been quite a while since I have gone to Build a Bear...It was so fun to tag along when Kim took Logan to get a special friend named Chase. Logan could barely wait to go back to Kim's house to play with Chase.
Amidst the basketball tryouts, volleyball practice, chiropractor appointments and babysitting this week...it was nice to have Kim help out Savannah with homework while I worked on a puzzle and listened to them work together. Sometimes I think it's easier for kids to accept homework help from someone other than their parents and thankfully Kim has had lots of practice helping kids out over the years :)
With Mark gone for the week, 2 puzzles got done...ok so this Value Village puzzle technically wasn't finished with 6 pieces missing...Grrrrrr.
