Snow Squall Warning...the snow begins...

Day 328 - November 24, 2013

The Fun Begins...2 feet of snow fell and church was cancelled. We shoveled the driveway, had breakfast and then the kids made their way out to the backyard...a perfect winter wonderland.

The fun continues...I love that the kids want to go outside and play.

Today was not a great day. Trying to switch up medicine to help with headaches and shoulder/back pain. Hope this helps.

Today we found the birthday gift card that we have been looking for for 2.5 years. I don't remember ever seeing the gift card as I had just had surgery at the time she received it...which made it a little difficult to look for. Where did we find it? In her camera box that we had packed away. Savannah is ready to go shopping.

The boys had the volleyball tournament today and after a lot of practice, hard work and coming together as a team...they became champions. It was a great day of competition and excitement!

Day 317 - November 13, 2013

Please tell me someones garage looks like this at times! I can clean it all up and a week later, it looks like a tornado went through it...recycling tossed in the general direction of the bins, bikes shoved in, paper delivering stuff, toys, street hockey equipment, sporting stuff, etc strewn every which way...It drives me nuts! Needless to say it got a "quick" tidy as it was recycle day and it had to get out. 

Day 318 - November 14, 2013

Alex and Carsten are on the volleyball team...it was fun to watch them play against Faith and see their work in practice put into game action. Hoping for a great tournament next week for them!

Day 319 - November 15, 2013

We did quite a bit of tidying and work around the house today on the PD Day. The kids and I went bowling at Palasad in the afternoon after doing a few errands. Getting home we had a fun evening planned with pizza and a movie...thankful that Kim could join us for the Turbo movie and supper. 

Day 320 - November 16, 2013

Today we did a lot of little things around the house and then had some Christmas fun. Alex set the Christmas tree up and Carsten organized the ornaments, while I baked some Amish Friendship muffins and Mark made bread. We then set to putting all the ornaments on the tree...the kids get an ornament each year and it is fun to go through and reminisce about things they loved and still love. Christmas music playing throughout the house...it was a good time.

Grade 8 Day...Alex visited a high school today and that scares me to think of him being old enough to go to high school. He had a great day at LDCSS and the picture of the day is Alex's woodworking project...an iPod speaker.

I was going to take a picture of our tree and the fallen leaves...sounds odd but that excites me to see leaves on our front lawn. Savannah came home with a tree project and so I ended up getting a picture of her working on her project under the tree.
