Day 90 - March 31, 2013
Savannah loves piano lessons and loves to learn. Here is a picture of Savannah playing Psalm 62 "My Soul Finds Rest in God Alone" which she is working on. Savannah has been working on her timing so it was neat when Mark had an idea to have her play along with Aaron Keyes on Apple TV. I'm adding a short video too today :)

Very thankful to have Mark come home safely from his business trip to North Carolina.

I have decided to do a cleanse and am a little nervous about it. The first shakes were horrible but hopefully they get better. Here are different products I can use.

Today we joined Kim for a long walk at Springwater. By the end we were all a little tired. Here is a picture along our way.

On this cleanse I am drinking a lot of water...I usually have about 6-7 water bottles a day.

Day 84 - March 25, 2013
The kids all wanted to play Monopoly after supper today. Carsten was beating us all with hotels on Mediterranean and Baltic and collecting lots on the utilities...he called himself "Bill Gates of Monopoly". In this picture...things were getting a little bit tougher for Bill...Let's just say after a great comeback...Bill Gates fell ;)

Here is a picture of the owls I got at Cracker Barrel on the way home from Tennessee. I love them and hopefully they will go great in Savannah's room :)

Day 80 - March 21, 2013
Today was paper day and no one was excited to go out and do them. Savannah was having a rough time as her papers were blowing apart. She broke down in tears half way through. After fixing the papers up, she continued on. She was full of smiles when she was finished because she received a special treat from a lady on our street...Kinder Mix :) Savannah says she is never letting anyone do her papers around holidays anymore.

iPods and iPhones are great for keeping in touch...Facetime is wonderful for when Mark is travelling for work. Thank you technology.

Days 66-76 (March 7-17, 2013)
Day 66 - March 7, 2013
We are all packed and ready to leave for Tennessee. This year we were able to join my family up in a chalet...Mom and Dad, Brian & Jenny, Jaelyn and Ava, Brian & Rose, Amy, Jessica, Scott and Abby and our family...we will miss Melissa and Kyle.
Day 67 - March 8, 2013
Driving through Ohio, I saw these neat buildings. We stopped in Florence, Kentucky to break up our trip to Tennessee.
Day 68 - March 9, 2013
Mark getting in a game of pool quite quickly after arriving at our chalet in Tennessee. The pool table was quite popular with the young and old of our group.
Day 69 - March 10, 2013

Day 70 - March 11, 2013
A bunch of us coloured this morning. Here is Amy, Abby and I with our big colouring project. In the afternoon we did some shopping as the weather was not that great.
Day 71 - March 12, 2013
This was such a fun day! We started the day by visiting Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies with Brian, Jenny and the girls. We visited the Aquarium four years ago when we went to Tennessee and loved it. Alex and I loved it just as much this time :) After the Aquarium, we checked out the streets of Gatlinburg as we made our way to Ripley's Guinness World Record Museum...Carsten was in his glory as he loves the GWR books. After meeting the rest of the group for a very yummy supper at Ruby Tuesdays, we caught the Comedy Barn Show. The highlight of that might be Brian Roffel getting to be a part of the show. What a fabulously fun day!!!

We went on a crazy "car hike". I realized I do not like heights at all and especially when their are no guardrails on the windy, steep mountain paths. There was some very beautiful spots along the hike though.
Day 74 - March 15, 2013
We were hoping to do a car hike and then finish it up with a 1 km hike to Clingman's Dome but unfortunately the road was closed. We stopped at the lookout where the road was closed and explored a bit. Here's a picture that a kind man took of our group. Grandpa, Grandma, Brian, Jenny, Jaelyn and Ava came with us as we went Mini Golfing Friday afternoon. It was a fun course...Ripley's Davy Crockett.
Day 75 - March 16, 2013
We were on our way home and stopped to get some gas before crossing back into Canada. Here is a picture of the Ambassador Bridge...we waited about 30 minutes to cross and then we had about 2 hours to go before getting home. 12.5 hours after leaving Tennessee we arrived home...so thankful for safe travel as we saw a few accidents along the way (van on fire, upside down semi truck).
Day 76 - March 17, 2013
We are back home. I either slept wrong or my body did not like the long car ride...My back is crazy sore. So today was mostly spent on the couch :( Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.

Day 73 - March 14, 2013
Nascar Speedway!!! What an awesome day! We spent the day go carting from about 11-8:30 with a break for supper at Golden Corral. There was rollercoaster, swings, and kid rides as well. It was seriously such a fun fun day!! We can't wait to do it again someday!!

Day 65 - March 6, 2013
Today Alex and Carsten played in the school hockey tournament...I've always wanted to be a hockey mom and so today I got my wish :) The day started off with a tough loss but the team worked hard and won the next two games. Semi finals had us play Wyoming and we beat them moving us into the final. The final game was against Aylmer and the team played very well even though they were getting tired. We won the game and received the Champions banner...and Alex even got a goal in the final game :)

Alex had a great night out bowling with the Jr. YPS and ended at Tim Hortons for something to eat/drink after. When he came home, I thought 'Wow! How grown up Alex has become'...he's almost a teenager!
Day 61 - March 2, 2013
I loved playing board and card games growing up ... We were visiting my Mom and Dad this weekend and we started the night playing Dutch Blitz, followed by SkipBo and finally Apples to Apples ... it was a lot of fun!

Sometimes I feel like I empty and then refill the dishwasher an awful lot in a day.
