The boys had a Science Fair at school today. I'm really proud of the time and effort they put into their projects to be ready for their big day.

The kids all played ball hockey tonight and it was a great night of exciting hockey. Alex's back is still feeling pretty sore but he played very well and he is the picture of the day.

Kim, Carsten and I went off to see what treasures we could find at the garage sales this week while Alex and Savannah stayed home to have a garage sale. They had fun and made a little bit of cash too.

The boys had a badminton tournament today. Since I wasn't able to be there, I was very glad that Mark took some pictures for me and got some videos from Kim & Savannah too :) Alex placed 8th in Boys Singles and Carsten & Dustin placed 3rd in Boys Doubles.

The fun has begun...first ball hockey game for Carsten and Savannah. Savannah is Red #14 this season and Carsten is Blue #11. I'll post pictures of Alex hopefully Saturday when he plays his first game.

I always loved it when my dad brought his big red dump truck home...when we got to my parent's house this weekend...it was there in the back yard. We helped put the pieces of the cut down trees in the back to be taken away.

The kids all played ball hockey tonight and it was a great night of exciting hockey. Alex's back is still feeling pretty sore but he played very well and he is the picture of the day.

Track and Field Day took place today and the kids did a great job in the very cool weather. I love watching the kids give their all. I also love the encouragement from teachers and amongst the students.

Today was our first real garage sale morning of the season. We headed out nice and early in a light drizzle to see what kind of treasures we could find...and treasures were definitely found...Alex got Magnetix, Carsten got a remote control PT Cruiser, and Savannah got a Steve Yzerman autographed poster, Bobblehead and a Red Wing puck...we all had a great time!

I am sad that my phone headset is breaking and dying...when I have lots of calls it is so helpful to be able to talk and get things done around the house...and not having to balance the phone between my shoulder and neck.

Not sure why but I am seeing an increase of spiders around the house...Alex was my hero when he killed a spider with it's nest this morning and then this afternoon he killed a black spider on the ceiling. Very thankful for a boy who is taller than me and can take over this job :)

Alex was goalie in ball hockey today. Not sure why but it makes me nervous when the kids play goal and even more so when they're playing one of the best teams in the division.

Sometimes I forget to take a picture and have to take it the following day...about 10 days ago we went to Ikea and I was very excited to get some new kids plates, cups and bowls...each kid has their own colour and it's hard when a colour is missing because it is dirty. I also got some new wooden spoons...it makes me smile :)

Today was Savannah's day to play goal...she was so excited and played very well! She kept us in the game and the coach said she should be MVP of the game.

Savannah was excited by the gift that Grandpa gave her...a nice wooden house that opens up and has a lock on it so she can keep her treasures safe in it. Thanks Grandpa for such a neat gift!
Kim and I took advantage of extra lean ground beef on sale this week and we set to work making 30 pounds of ground beef into meatballs...we should be set for the summer.

It must have been the week for the kids to all play goal. The boys' team had no one offer to play goal and so Carsten offered. Alex scored tonight and Carsten played awesome too! The game ended in a shootout and it took 9 or 10 shots before we lost. What a great game! We headed to McDonalds to celebrate great playing by all.

Today has been a day in the making for a while...going to Port Huron with Kim to do a little shopping. We had a great time at Hobby Lobby, Birchwood Mall and Walmart along with a yummy lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. Some fun things we found in our browsing...
