Week 52 ~ December 23-31, 2016 (Part 3)

After we arrived home from the Koomans Christmas Experience, we had a couple days to rest before we geared up for the Koopman Christmas party. I was thankful for the break because I started feeling really crummy...Sinus and head cold, fever, coughing, achey, dizziness, headache, and pure exhaustion.

The day came for the Koopman party and I tried to just enjoy the time with family...I didn't take too many pictures since I was still not feeling great at all. I love that Oma was able to come for supper, enjoy the grandkids opening their gifts from her and just listening to the conversations around her. The family also enjoyed playing games and sports, a gift exchange game and just plain catching up. It was a good time.

Taking a couple more days to try and recuperate, I enjoyed being cuddled up on the couch watching the Centennial Classic Alumni game...almost made me feel better seeing some of my favourite players on the ice playing hockey for the Red Wings again.

New Years Eve rolled around and we went to Kim's house where we hung out, trying to stay awake to ring in the New Year. I was still not feeling so great as you can see. We played some games, chatted, and ate some yummy food.

A lot of laughs were had when the kids played in the hammock..."something you're supposed to do at a party" - Olivia

Week 52 ~ December 23-31, 2016 (Part 2)

It was awesome to start our Koomans Christmas experience one night early with Brian and Jenny so we could beat the forecasted winter storm. We enjoyed colouring, playing games, swimming and just hanging out while eating supper.

After breakfast the next day, we were ready to go begin our Koomans Christmas Gift Experience...my parents gifted everyone Toronto City Passes this year.

First up was Casa Loma...It was a lot of fun exploring the castle and the surrounding grounds...a special treat was the aerial show...

I tried to grab a snapshot of all Grandpa and Grandma's grandkids here...next year we look forward to having Melissa and Kyle's baby join the ranks :)

We headed downtown next, admiring our surroundings as we went. We ate our lunch at a hotdog vendor near the CN Tower & Ripley's Aquarium.

Next we visited Ripley's Aquarium...can I say that I love watching the fish, sharks, eels, octopus, jelly fish and all the unique creatures God made...I think I could watch them all day.

The CN Tower was next up...it was quite foggy but thankfully it cleared up a bit. It was especially neat to see the clouds moving by while looking out the windows of the tower. While some of us were a little uncertain about the height we were at, others felt very comfortable...taking selfies, jumping on or trying out some gymnastic moves on the glass floor. Half of the group stayed to see the view from the tower at night while others checked into the hotel and found a place for us to all eat supper.

As we arrived at our supper destination, we saw some really cool ice sculptures

and we enjoyed a delicious supper at Milestones...

After supper, we made our way back to the hotel, where we opened our stockings. It was a busy day, but great day!

After a good night sleep, we had some breakfast and then had to pack up so we could leave the hotel, but not before some fun. Kyle, the supper fun uncle he is, happened to bring along some Nerf guns...but so did Savannah...if you didn't bring a nerf gun, try a good ol' pillow...

Our destination for today was the Ontario Science Centre...lots of fun for the kids, teens and adults...

Who did it best???

Thank you so much Mom and Dad for our Christmas gift of city passes to enjoy with our whole family...We love spending time with you and the rest of the family, especially since we don't live in the same city. Thanks again! :)
