Days 209-217 (July 28-August 5, 2013)

Day 209 - July 28, 2013

A picture of the quickest hung thing in my house. Thanks to Mark for putting it up shortly after getting home from Elim so we wouldn't accidentally break it.

Day 210 - July 29, 2013

Savannah and Cailyn started sewing camp this week at Just Sew Sewing School. Here is Savannah's project from the first day...pin cushion aka American Girl doll pillow ;)

Day 211 - July 30, 2013

Beautiful sky on the way home from Savannah's soccer game.

Day 212 - July 31, 2013

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer just before we went to Holland. We were thankful to have spent the last two weeks with mom and dad together at Elim Lodge before she begins treatment. Today she underwent surgery and so far the doctor believes it was successful. We hope to have further information when she goes back to the doctor. Please continue to keep her in prayer as she will undergo radiation in a few weeks. This is a picture of my mom and I enjoying our time at Elim.

Day 213 - August 1, 2013

The girls chilling before their last sewing lessons at Joan's house. They love the porch swing!

Day 214 - August 2, 2013

I have been searching through old photo albums and boxes for pictures of my little sister who is getting married this month. I came across our Wedding program.

Day 215 - August 3, 2013

Another find in the many boxes we went through...the kids have a new book for piano.

Day 216 - August 4, 2013

Here's the kids eating supper outside. Mom is doing well but we thought the kids could enjoy supper outside to keep the noise down :)

Day 217 - August 5, 2013

Swimming lessons for Carsten and Savannah

  1. Hi Linda!
Now I REALLY know why you all looked familiar. I haven't looked at this blog in a long time, but I got thinking after we met and realized that this is probably why your faces were familiar! Today was a good day! Nice to meet you . . . like the kids . . too bad we waited till the last day:)!!!

  2. That would explain it :) Wish we had a chance to meet before Saturday too. Hopefully we will be in touch and maybe next year on the same team again.
