Our church had a dessert and variety night and it was quite entertaining...from stellar piano playing to a "I can do it better" song to Jeopardy...fun for all ages!
Savannah gave a speech about the Toronto Blue Jays and Andrew told the story Mortimer at the Royal Canadian Legion...they both did a fabulous job! Several other students from their school also shared their stories and they did a great job too! We were so proud of all those that had the excitement and courage for public speaking.
I had a couple of rough days and tried to persevere and use any means to help...Chiropractor helped a little but not for long...Being at an 8 or 9 is too high for my liking and thankfully Mark cooked a lovely supper for us...Thanks hon!
Savannah's school had another spirit day this week to...this time it was Formal Day. It was quite nice to see so many young kids dressed up so nicely and it was also fun to see the diversity of formal attire :)
We had a few extra kids after school for part of this week and art contests were all the rage in our house...everyone took a turn judging and lots of pictures were drawn. On one round, Savannah thought she had it all wrapped up with a picture of Jimmy Howard of the Red Wings.
And when Savannah's friends all went home, she settled in to colour some adult colouring pages. Love that I found her just colouring and listening to music.
Some other fun pics from this week were a picture from when Carsten went to his friend, Todd's house, some more of Mark's yummy cooking, the pretty common site of Carsten making himself a sandwich, and a beautiful American Girl doll, Marisol, that arrived after unexpectedly winning an Ebay auction.
