The boys had a tournament to end their soccer season and it was so hot out...we were glad when we could head inside to get a break from the heat. Mark never made it out to watch as he was at home waiting for a plumber to come because the toilet was not very fixable...we have been down to only one toilet and that is not very many with 5-9 people in the house on any given day...unfortunately the plumber didn't make it out til after we got home and the fix didn't really stay...we need a new toilet :(
Savannah, Kim and I even had a chance to hit some garage sales inbetween soccer games...we even found one of our favourite PSWs while we were out. I fell in love with this chair and it fits perfectly where I thought it would...and the kids think its super comfy...eeeeek exciting :D
We enjoyed the last of the Olympics...Canadian women taking bronze in soccer (aka football) and the mens relay team taking bronze was so sweet.
Our long awaited trip to Ottawa to meet Kim's new nephew, Darius, had come. Beth, Kylie, Savannah and I slept over at Kim's as we planned to leave very early in the morning...when Olivia woke up in the van, she sure was surprised to see all of us!!
We had a good time shopping at the American Girl doll store. I can't even imagine what it must be like for a kid because I think AG stores are amazing!
After we met up for supper with Troy and Rebekah, we went back to the hotel had a sleepover with Louisa :) It was fun to get to know Darius and Louisa better.
We enjoyed exploring Parliament Hill, Byward Market and surrounding area. The buildings are gorgeous...we had a lot of fun playing around the statutes, eating Beavertails, and the kids especially loved Sugar Mountain.
With an early start, the kids did great driving on the way up to Ottawa. We had a bit of a longer ride on the way home as Kylie cried a little more...I think we left at the wrong time for the drive home. Thanks for a great trip ladies :)
