WEEK 20 ~ MAY 14-20, 2015

Dad Koopman's funeral was on Thursday, May 14 where his son Pastor John delivered a sermon entitled "A Glimpse into Eternity". The pall bearers were his sons and son-in-laws and Dad was laid to rest in Elmdale Cemetery. JC Ryle's book Heaven were handed out as well. 

 

Not sure who took this picture but I loved the picture of "the boys" as soon as I saw it. 

Life was quite busy taking care of family business, getting Mom & Dad's house ready to sell, and just trying to get back into the swing of regular busy May activities of jobs, school trips, sports, orthodontist appointments, etc. 

This week was no different with Carsten and Savannah's Track & Field Day. I LOVE Track & Field Day...the excitement, the nerves, the competition, the encouragement to others...and every year I try to capture pictures of the kids at their events (and lots of other kids in-between too). So without further ado...

This year Alex helped out at Track & Field as he was in high school...

and even Olivia and Louisa came out to cheer everyone on.

It felt good to be babysitting again...Olivia, Rowan, Kim and I loved seeing the new life around the lake and enjoying the fresh air.
