I think the carnival is one of the biggest highlights of the year for the kids and this year did not disappoint...even Alex was wanting to come help out. While the kids were in the closing assembly, some kind firemen were filling up the pool and in no time the kids were ready to come out and have some fun...bouncy castle, games, paddle boats, face painting, cotton candy, photo booth...an awesome way to end the school year.
Alex turned 15 on June 20 and we are thankful for the hard working, caring motivated young man he has become. We pray that God will continue to be with Alex in the coming years.
It was a beautiful day and we all walked to Oma's today to enjoy the Car Show with her. Oma and the kids all picked out the car they'd like...Oma said buy it for them. I love seeing the tenderness of Mark with his Mom and Alex has followed his dad's lead.

We also went to visit my Mom and Dad's house to celebrate Father's Day and Alex and both my parents' birthdays. It was good to spend the day with my parents, letting them know how much they mean to me and giving me a taste of the time we would soon get to spend with them at Elim.
