We try to bring Mark's mom (Oma) to church every other week and she loves the music. After the church service, the boys played some piano and she enjoyed listening.
We started Sunday School this week and it was nice to have a fresh new start after having the summer off. Praying that God will bless the teachers as they share the gospel each week and the children as they listen...May God send His Holy Spirit to fill us.
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my elementary school principal, Rick Klooster this week. I had the privilege of seeing Mr. Klooster live out his faith, reaching out to kids who just needed someone to understand them. I remember having many talks with Mr. Klooster at CCS and appreciate the time and energy he gave to all his students. Praying that God will grant comfort and peace to his family during this very difficult time.
September 2016 will mark the fifth global World Alzheimer’s Month, an international campaign to raise awareness and challenge stigma. The theme for World Alzheimer's Month 2016 is Remember Me. We encourage people all around the world to learn to spot the signs of dementia, but also not to forget about loved ones who are living with dementia, or those who may have passed away.
